Social Media Manager Internship

Location: Fully Remote
Are you social media savvy and passionate about driving progress towards a fairer fashion future? Sustainable Fashion Week Chicago is looking for a creative, motivated individual to design, launch, and manage engaging content that aligns with SFW’s mission of fostering awareness and community engagement around sustainable fashion across Chicagoland.
This opportunity is great for current students (undergraduate or graduate) looking for a flexible and remote internship. The work as part of this internship can be included in the student’s capstone or thesis projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and pitch content for the SFW Instagram, including videos, photos, graphics, and stories
- Manage the SFW Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, optimizing content strategy to drive follower growth and engagement
- Track progress over time to facilitate alignment with SFW strategic goals
- Work directly with leadership to ensure content strategy reflects broader SFW mission
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of Sustainable Fashion Week’s values
- Proficiency with Instagram account management (experience with other social platforms a plus)
- Strong graphic design and video editing skills
- Experience creating and optimizing engaging social media content
- Be available to pitch and craft 2+ posts a week
- Use of personal laptop and software is required
