CHICAGO, Ill. — Josh Drews of Arthouse will once again take over the Sustainable Fashion Week Chicago (SFWC) runway for Fall Winter 2026 (FW26).
Drews approaches fashion as a form of storytelling through reuse. When asked about the collection, he said, “with many looks varying across different categories, [I] present collections that are both highly wearable and deeply experimental built from over 90% upcycled materials.”
Each piece constructed by Arthouse is individually created using reclaimed textiles.
Drews said, “I sourced [all of the materials] from thrift stores, flea markets, antique shops, and everyday secondhand spaces. Blankets, tablecloths, drapery, and linens are transformed into garments that blur the line between function and art.”
Last season, Drews presented a collection that moves fluidly across five categories:
- Traveler: layered, utilitarian pieces like tapestry hoodies and duffle bags
- Streetwear: reworked jerseys, bold textures, and playful accessories
- Commuter: practical silhouettes with soft structure and mobility
- Night Out: elevated upcycled denim and expressive detailing
- Walk in the Park: relaxed, draped forms with cohesive sets
Ultimately, Drews said, “the work highlights the potential [of reimagining] waste materials when approached with intention and imagination.”
