Natural Indigo Dye & Shibori Workshop Using Blanks From All We Remember

Designer Jacob Victorine will be leading a small group through the basics of shibori and natural dyeing.

Participants will be provided with their choice of a 100% organic cotton t-shirt, bandana, or scarf blank from ALL WE REMEMBER, a Chicago-based, responsibly made, gender neutral clothing line. 

Jacob will demonstrate different methods to dye our blanks, using shibori techniques and natural, fermented indigo dye. 

This workshop is intended to be fun and relaxing, while introducing you to the art of shibori and natural dyeing. Come out to learn new skills AND leave with a lovely one of a kind textile, hand dyed by you to keep or gift! Drinks (cocktails & NA options) and light snacks will be provided.

We’ll be hosting a trunk show by ALL WE REMEMBER that day as well–come early or stay afterwards to talk with AWR designer Jacob Victorine, shop the line, and meet fellow natural dye and slow fashion friends! 

Details:

• Workshop is open to all levels.

• Dress for mess – we will be working near dyes. Gloves are not needed, however.

• Cost is $120 if choosing the 100% organic t-shirt. Available in Sizes 0 (measures 38″ across chest) to size 4 (measures 56″ across chest). Note: dyeing will shrink the shirts slightly, mainly in length (approx 5%). Additional photos and sizing info can be found here.
