Civic Engagement & Community Social
January 22 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Join Sustainable Fashion Week Chicago and Brewpoint for an evening discussing fashion and learn about resources and tips that we as community members can use to have a more ethical and environmental fashion industry, beginning in our neighborhood.
Attendees will also hear from Melissa Villanueva, candidate for DuPage County Board and her economic plans, if elected — specifically how small, local, and under resourced business owners can obtain wider support.
Location: Brewpoint Craft, 617 N York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126.
Price: The event is free. The first 8 people to RSVP will also have their drink of choice paid for! Otherwise, attendees are responsible for their own food and drink purchases.
Why attend:
- There will be structured community/ connection time, so everyone has the chance to share who they are, what they care about, or what they’d like to contribute (if they are comfortable sharing) or who they want to connect with.
- Connect with people in your area who care about fashion, sustainability, and positive change.
- You’ll leave with at least 3 connections!
