Design and visual arts have been a key factor in her life and studying fashion in the city of Chicago has brought opportunities for her to work alongside brilliant fashion professionals, behind the scenes of Chicago Fashion Week, and study fashion in New York City and Asia. Her work strives to be a blend of inspiration from surrealism and fantasy while paying attention to the environmental damage generated by the fashion industry.  She has combined the use of second-hand materials for various fashion projects to showcase the beauty of creating a garment out of materials that are constantly discarded. Yatziri aims to continue exploring beyond the boundaries of reality and imagination by merging art and recycled fashion to take sustainability to the next level.
