Sydney McCormack is a recent graduate from Columbia College of Chicago, with a degree in Fashion Design, a concentration in Product Development, and minors in Women’s Studies and Sustainability.

Her designs have always been led by sustainability, even in her education, she always tried challenging herself with recycling, repurposing, and zero waste. These are heavily driven by her devotion to slow fashion and the purpose of learning to not only love your clothes, but their longevity as well. Her processes have included zero waste design, the repurposing of scraps, and natural dying. She recently had her first fashion show, where she showcased garments all made from materials taken from thrifting, re-constructed, and upcycled to adhere to this collection. Growing up, Sydney always knew she wanted to be a fashion designer. So, when her dad forced her onto the water to do anything with sailing or fishing, she never realized how important and lucky Sydney was to grow and appreciate the water, and especially the ocean. Being from the PNW, you were always taught to love and cherish the trees, the plants, the water, and the beauty all around. Sydney loves her home and the ocean very much, and it has a deeper meaning that not only connects her to her family and home, but to fashion as well.
